Authors

The few and the mighty. Our friend Alainn Charles inspired us to start this project, and she likely wouldn’t appreciate being called an author, or a poet, or anything too serious sounding. We hope to add many more cantankerous and begrudging poets, novelists, writers, thinkers, authors, and rabble-rousers to this page in the not too distant future.

Alainn Charles is the spark that lit Uncanny Object into existence. We feel so fortunate to share her work with readers across the great wide world. She’s a secret too good to keep to ourselves, and you can expect a number of titles coming very soon.

Incredibly tough to pin down, Alainn writes for sheer enjoyment and in a variety of styles. Whether poetry or prose, her voice is singular in its range and intensity. Subtle yet violent, sensual yet analytical, reading Alainn is always a memorable trip.

Friend of Uncanny Object, reader of weird literature, dabbler in philosophy, Augustus Stoner (You can call him Gus) has no good reason to be writing a book. This makes him the perfect candidate for working with Uncanny Object.

Gus has a couple of fiction projects in the works. Look for his first (short) book of (short) stories in the spring of 2027. Including him here to keep the pressure on:)

Seriously. We’re going to run out of fun projects without your help. Drop us a line. Tell your friends. Tell your enemies. We’re doing this for fun, and we want as many people as possible to share it.
